Aftercare Guide

BOTOX

POST – TREATMENT CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Day by Day care

Day 1

You may experience some swelling and bruising at the injection site. Facial exercises such as frowning or squinting may help the Botox take hold.

Day 2

You may still experience mild swelling and bruising. You are unlikely to see results yet. You can resume regular exercise and fly without affecting results.

Day 3

Bruising and swelling should have reduced. You may feel some slight tightness at the injection site but results are not yet visible.

Day 4 – 6

You may start to notice initial results as the muscles start to relax, smoothing out any wrinkles.

Day 7

Your face should start to look more refreshed. You can now have facials or treatments that involve putting pressure on the face.

Day 14

Results should now be in full effect, resulting in a smoother, more refreshed face.

What to Expect

48 hours after the procedure you may still experience some mild swelling and bruising at the site of the injections.
You are unlikely to see any results just yet.
You can resume your regular exercise routine.
You can now fly without the results of your Botox being affected.

What to Avoid

Rubbing or massaging your face
Laying down (avoid for at least 4 hours)
Vigorous exercise
Anti-inflammatory painkillers
Smoking and drinking alcohol
Hot showers, baths or hot tubs

THREADS LIFT

COG Thread Lift & HIKO Nose Thread

COG Thread Lift

A stinging or "pulling" pain discomfort is normal.
Soreness near the hairline or jaw line that can last up to 2 weeks.
Expect some swelling, redness and bruising. Some dimpling may occur but usually goes away on its own.
Some people can feel their threads — usually goes away after several days.

Aftercare

Avoid heavy lifting and strenuous activity for 2–3 weeks.
Do not touch or wash your face for 12 hours following the procedure.
Limit facial motion for 24 hours. Limit talking or extreme expression.
Apply ice for 30 minutes, 4–5 times a day for 5 days.
Do not chew gum for 2 weeks. Do not drink through a straw.
No makeup or facial creams for 48 hours.
Do not massage the face for 3 weeks. Do not pull down on your face.
Keep your head slightly elevated for about 4 hours to reduce swelling.
Soft diet for 7 days to reduce stress on your threads.

HIKO Nose Thread

What to Avoid

Excessive movement or animation of the area injected for 2 weeks.
Massage or manipulation of the tissue for 2 weeks.
Aesthetic treatments including RF, IPL, Laser, or Microneedling for 4 weeks.
Strenuous exercise for 1 week after facial treatments and 2 weeks after body treatments.
No deep squats for 1 month if threads were injected into the buttocks area.
Steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, or any unclean or excessive temperature water source for 2 weeks.
Taking Ibuprofen for 2 weeks. Acetaminophen may be taken instead if needed.

✨ Results: Effects should be noticeable immediately after treatment. Maximum effect will occur in 4–6 weeks. Bruising and swelling is normal and expected. Asymmetry and irregularity of the tissue is common and will typically resolve in 1–2 weeks. Pain at insertion points is normal and may last several days — consult your provider for any pain beyond 2 weeks.

POST – TREATMENT CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Aftercare instructions

Bruising and swelling is normal.
Headache or pain at injection site — Paracetamol or Mefenamic Acid is usually all that is required.

Contact our doctors for any significant concerns such as allergic reactions or infections for appropriate management.
Cold or hot compress is not allowed.

Potential Side Effects

Bruising and Swelling — most people have minimal to no bruising and can resume normal activity immediately. It will not affect the result of the filler — it just takes time for bruises to resolve.
Headache or Pain — Paracetamol is recommended for this kind of headache or pain.
Redness, Welts, and Itching — minor redness or welts can occur after filler. This is normal. Antihistamine can be taken once a day for 3 days.
Results — expect significant improvement, not complete wrinkle removal. Most patients are extremely happy with fillers for cheeks, lips, folds, and other facial filler uses.
